What Alta does well

  • Name in light, widely spaced capitals, centred across the page
  • Left column for contact details, education and skills, with a small icon beside each contact line
  • Right column that opens with a Profile section, then experience, projects and awards
  • No accent colour; hierarchy comes from type weight and shades of grey
  • Education kept alongside your experience rather than below it

Written for the posting you paste in

Upload your CV and paste a job posting. The Studio writes the content for that role, scores it against the posting, and lays it out in Alta.

How Alta is laid out

Alta puts a centred name in light, spaced capitals across the top of an A4 page, underlined by a thin grey rule, and divides the rest into two columns. The narrower left column, about a third of the width, holds contact details with small icons, then education and skills; the right column starts with a Profile summary and carries work experience, projects and awards.

Who it suits

  • Graduates and early-career applicants whose education deserves to sit next to their experience
  • People who want a two-column layout without a coloured sidebar
  • A broad set of skills that would crowd a single column

Good to know

  • After the first page the left column stays empty and the main column keeps its narrower width, so long CVs use paper less efficiently than a single-column template.
  • Some applicant tracking systems may run the two columns together when they read the PDF. Minimal keeps the same greys-only approach in one column.
  • Job locations are not shown in the experience entries.
