What Professional does well

  • Summary framed in a light grey box headed Professional Profile
  • Bold, letter-spaced section headings over solid black rules
  • Employer and location in italics beneath each job title
  • A two-column skills list in category: items form
  • Black and grey only, so it prints the same on any printer

Content
Written for the posting you paste in

Upload your CV and paste a job posting. The Studio writes the content for that role, scores it against the posting, and lays it out in Professional.

How Professional is laid out

Professional sets everything in one column of serif type on A4. The centred name sits over a thin rule that fades out at both ends, followed by a centred line of contact details and the boxed profile; work experience, education, skills, projects and awards come next under bold uppercase headings, with education showing only the date you finished.

Who it suits

  • Accountants, lawyers and consultants, for whom a black-and-white serif page will not look out of place
  • Experienced hires who want a written profile to open the CV
  • CVs that are likely to be printed and read on paper
  • Applicants who would rather show when they graduated than when they started studying

Good to know

  • The boxed profile and generous spacing take up a good part of the first page, so longer histories reach a second page sooner than they would in Classic.
  • If you would like one accent colour, Executive keeps a serif typeface and a shaded summary panel, and adds navy.
